Summer! Let the Countdown Begin....

My absolute favorite season is SUMMER!!!  Since before I can remember it always has been.  You know that feeling as a kid when it's the last day of school and the start of Summer Vacation? While as a teacher it is still that same feeling!  And it has never gotten old for me after all these years!We now have 22 more school days left before Summer Vacation begins! I just love Summer and Summer Vacation! It is the most wonderful time of the year! Here is a pic that just makes me think Summer and it includes another favorite of mine Adirondack Chairs, just love them for some reason...and of course again the beach lol:)

Beaches and Rainbows

I have gotten behind on posting again! But today I thought I would add two of my favorite things, Beaches & Rainbows! We absolutely LOVE the beach. I want to have a house on the beach someday! I also love rainbows. After a storm, comes a beautiful rainbow and they are even more amazing I think, on the beach. I found this picture online and just love it so I thought I would add it today to my list of "My Favorite Things":)

"You and Me"

Today's blog incorporates many of And & I's favorite things. When we first met in college one of the things that was both of our favorites was Dave Matthew's Band and it always reminds us of our college days. One of his newer songs, when we both heard it for the first time became a new favorite was "You and Me". If it had been written earlier I think it would have been our wedding song:) This clip I found is Dave Matthews singing that song and also him describing how the song came to be and how he wrote in when out on a lake in upstate NY. Our guess is he wrote it on Canandaigua Lake as he comes there often. As we were just there yesterday on Mother's Day it made me think of it. (Happy Mother's Day by the way to all the wonderful Mother's I know! Especially my Mom! Love you soooo much! Thanks for all you do!)

The Sunshine :)

One of my favorite things that always makes me smile is  a beatiful warm sunny day :) The sun has not been shining much in NY yet for May, and I can't wait for it to come out and stay out and be warm for the Summer, my favorite season. Not sure why I am still living in cold New York, but as you can tell many of my favorite things have to do with the beach and sunshine. So I thought this song by Jason Mraz would incorporate many of my "favorite things".

Costa Rica is definitely one of our favorite things!!! In the Summer of '09 we had the most wonderful adventure vacation ever and can't wait to go back to Costa Rica! Pura Vida! One of our favorites there was the monkeys that always came out to play everyday at the beautiful Baili House! Here was our beach!
