The Smith Family: 1st Visit to the NYS Fair and Labor Day Weekend!

Carissa went with Mommy and Babci to her first visit to the Great NY State Fair on Wed. It was so much fun! Carissa loved every minute and soaked it all in. Babci even went to visit the animals like the cows, goats, pigs and horses because Carissa loves to see the animals! She must be pretty special because Babci never likes to go near the animals at the Fair! We had a fun day and great weather for a day at the Fair. We even got to see some seals this year. Then we got some chocolate milk and a cute pic in the Dairy Building.

On Friday we got some professional pics taken on the beach in Rochester called Charlotte. It was the perfect day for it. We really wanted to get some professional pics of Carissa at 8 months because we haven't had any since she her newborn shots! They came out great and we have to pick the ones we want now.So they will be coming soon. But we snapped some pics after with our iPhones since it was so nice out and we were all dressed up. So we will show you those for now.

Then on Saturday of Labor Day weekend.Mommy had her 3rd tri of the Summer at Skaneateles Lake. This time Daddy and Carissa came to cheer Mommy on since it was the prefect day for it and it's so close to Babci & Dziedzie's so we all stayed there. Mommy did great and was 9th in her age group out of 50 people! Not too bad for 8 months after giving birth and training with an 8 month old. It was such a fun and beautiful day. Carissa loved the triathlon bell daddy let her hold! She kept ringing it and held it the whole time! She even fell asleep with it!

Next we went to Honeoye Lake for some Labor Day Weekend fun. There was a pirate festival going on and we got see a pirate ship battle on the lake with fireworks. Carissa liked them, the noise didn't bother her and she even fell asleep. We got to watch a celtic band play and Carissa loved dancing to the music! Of course Carissa played in her big pool by the lake. She played with Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, doggies and great grandma. So much fun!

Then we ended the weekend with a picnic at Grandma & Grandpa Z's. Carissa was crawling all over and pulls herself up and walks around holding on to the furniture. She loved playing with her cousins and had so much fun. She is quite the social girl. She is getting around really good now and does not like staying in one spot long! Even climbing up the stairs really well! It's getting down we need to work on:)
